Jacie Oosthuizen, whose family has farmed fruit and vegetables in this lovely valley for almost a century, was joined early in the new millennium by a group of passionate wine lovers and hence Lord’s was born.
The wine farm (33 ha) is part of the original Oosthuizen farmlands and the name “Lord’s” is a result of Jacie's devotion to the game of cricket and it’s spiritual home - Lord’s Home of Cricket - in north west London.
The Winery houses all the modern equipment necessary to produce first-class wines,
and bears testament to the involvement and energy of Lord’s shareholders by producing
such an impressive store of wines in such a relatively short time.
